A BRIEF HISTORY
Founded around 1940-1950, Burnpur Methodist Church began as a gathering of scattered Christian families in Burnpur with no dedicated place of worship. Seeing this need, IISCO Burnpur authorized the construction of a shared church building for various Christian denominations, including the Methodist Church, Church of North India (CNI), and Gossner Lutheran. Over time, Burnpur Methodist Church became the primary congregations using the space. What started with just a few families has now grown into a vibrant community of over 160 members across 50 families.
